General Accounting Programs

Many people enter the field of accounting with a general accounting degree. In its simplest form, accounting is the process of recording and processing the financial transactions of an entity and reporting on those transactions to interested parties (including owners, managers, employees and regulatory bodies). Programs are available from the associate's to the doctoral degree level. Students will learn accounting techniques, reporting forms, analytical methods, auditing practices and ethical considerations.
